Belmore is a GOOD school!

I am extremely pleased to report that the team of OfSTED inspectors who visited us in July have graded Belmore Primary Academy a good school in every aspect, recognising all of the hard work that went on throughout the year to move the school forward.

The OfSTED team found that:

  • All groups of pupils achieve well and make consistently good progress
  • Teaching is good and the work of teaching assistants is impressive
  • Pupils behave well, feel safe and enjoy coming to school

The inspection was extremely thorough, with inspectors observing every class, talking to children and parents, analysing the progress that children make and reviewing the work that they produce in all their subjects.

The inspection report is something that everyone in the school should be proud of.  Our job now is to move the school even further forward to being an outstanding school and I am confident that the school can achieve this.

School Day Times

We recently sent a letter to parents/carers regarding proposed changes to the school day times.  Thank you to all those parents who sent in responses and comments.  The Governors considered all of these and after a long discussion decided to approve the new times.  Now that the change has been agreed we will be working when we return in September on improving and extending our provision for after-school clubs and activities.
